Please welcome Fr. Jerome Soku who will be joining our parish for Mission Appeals Weekend (July 16- 17).

Fr. Jerome is a Congolese Comboni Missionary and ordained to the priesthood in 2011.

After his ordination, Fr. Jerome was sent to South Africa for his first mission. He worked from 2009 to 2019 in the Parish of Acornhoek (South Africa), building many small Christian communities encompassing 46 villages.

Applying for grants and garnering financial support, he was able to build 7 churches for community worship. He arrived in the US (Chicago) in the midst of the 2020 pandemic, joining the Comboni Missionaries in La Grange Park while enrolled at Loyola University
