The Social Concerns Committee will be sponsoring the ADVENT TREE once again this year but with a few twists. The need is greater than ever for these organizations:

Dorothy’s House, Ruth Harbor, Catholic Charities, Hope Ministries, Innervisions Health Care, St Joseph’s Shelter, and the Iowa Food Bank.

As we cannot collect items this year, we are asking for gift cards and monetary donations. Gift cards requested by these organizations are as follows:

Wal-Mart, Target, Hy-Vee, Fareway, Aldi’s, Kohls, TJ Maxx, Casey’s, Kum & Go, Once Upon a Child, $10 Subway cards, $5 Dairy Queen, DART Tokens (can be bought on-line or at Hy-Vee).

Items can be selected and purchased to be delivered to CATHOLIC CHARITIES by going to: https://www.catholiccharitiesdm.org/contribute/give. Go to Household Items and under Amazon Wish List there is a link to the list at AmazonSmile. They will also take monetary donations thru their website.

To donate to the IOWA FOOD BANK go to: https://give.foodbankiowa.org/ge/donate. With the food bank buying power $25 will donate 100 meals. You may also place your check made out to Iowa Food Bank in an envelope and deposit at or mail to the church.

Please bring your gift cards/checks in an envelope, feel free to specify which organization you wish to support, and drop off in the receptacle provided at the church or mail to:
